About the Expedition Part 2

After thorough investigation of the landing area, team members are extracted from the cave, two at a time, by motorized winch. Due to the rappel, extraction and customized equipment, specialized training is mandatory before participating in this high risk adventure. The safety of each and every team member is a number one priority for this expedition.

Currently our expeditions have yielded over 150 cave jumps, all without serious incident or injury. This is due to the intense training and methodical preparation that goes into each adventure. Prior to entering the cave, each team member will become familiar with all the equipment and techniques necessary to make a safe and successful rappel and extraction.

Cave BASE is a true expedition adventure! It requires a lot of work, strong team spirit and 100% effort by all participants. From the time you leave to the time you return, you are given team responsibilities. Each member is responsible for an action packer (plastic crate) full of team equipment which will be assigned to you. You will be in charge of that action packer and its contents throughout the entire expedition.

Team members will also have responsibilities which include helping fellow jumpers. You may be asked to help belay, monitor wench progress and conduct rope spool recovery.

So, if you are in search of a true BASE adventure and consider yourself a team player, we would like to hear from you.
